At the end you say that I have to trust that my partner or friend will not get upset when I share my feelings. And yet, sometimes they do. Like when they tell me something I don&#039;t particularly like. Then I get upset, angry, embarrassed, etc. The question then is: what can we do to defuse that feeling of upset, embarrassment, even guilt or worry that the other person may have.</description>
