Major Developments in Anger Management

Major developments are occurring in anger management on a national basis. Anderson & Anderson is currently engaged in discussions with two National Sports organizations to provide anger management and coaching for professional sports. We anticipate a decision on one proposal in mid July and a second proposal in December.

State governments in Kentucky, California, Texas and Arizona are moving aggressively to increase the competency of state providers of anger management by demanding certification for its anger management facilitators. Anderson & Anderson is the major provider of this certification training. It is also the Anderson & Anderson curriculum which will be used in these programs.

The Federation of Medical Licensing Boards has listed Anderson & Anderson as an approved resource for “disruptive physicians”. This is significant in that it is the Anderson & Anderson model of anger management/executive coaching which is now accepted by all Medical Boards in the nation.

Substance abuse counselors throughout the nation are being required to prove certification in anger management. George Anderson is scheduled to present the Key Note address on June 20 at the Jackson State University’s Substance Abuse Conference in Choctaw, MS. Anderson will also train substance abuse counselors in adult anger management facilitation during this conference.

All Certified Anderson & Anderson anger management providers are encouraged to place Google ads regarding your services on the internet in order to position your practice to become a part of these major developments. In addition, all providers should place ads on the website of the American Association of Anger Management Providers:, the Directory of Anger Management Providers: as well as the website of Anderson & Anderson at
