ANGER ON MY MIND

Adaptation:Anger’s worst enemy

Posted on: June 21, 2008

I just wanted to share a few thoughts I had today. It dawned on me that the single greatest asset that humans possess is the ability to adapt. This is a remarkable gift that has fostered survival through the ages. Anger as an emotion is not about adaptation–it is about protecting what exist. Therefore we should carefully consider in our anger if the value or belief you are protecting is worth it. To let go of that old belief may open the door to new relationships and new possibilities that can aid in our adaptation to an ever changing world. Adaption and anger do not go hand in hand—just something to ponder on.
